At last! Enfin! Endlich! Eindelijk! أخيرا ! I have found myself a place to live my cairotic life. After one week of visiting vacant rooms all over Zamalek, Mohandiseen, Dokki and Agouza and seeing they were either overpriced, too dirty or containing the unbareable kitschy furniture, I started wondering where this househunting would bring me. Well, in fact it brought me to Garden city, ladies and gentlemen...A fine, not too noisy, local neighbourhood in Cairo where a superfriendly French girl, Lydie, had a room available. I hadn't considered Garden city as a possible area for me to live in, but I thought to check it out anyway. And glad I did! The flat looked so spacious and cosy and when I saw it I knew I could get used to the place . There is a lot of space where you can hang out with your housemates but you have enough private space at the same time; so that works for me! Lydie called me later that day ( 29/09/2008) to tell me the room was mine! I moved in the same day, and I'm as good as completely installed. The only thing it needs is a little cleaning here and there, a personal touch and a third roommate! In a few days, another French girl will arrive who will probably fill that place. Mes amis, let's hope this will improve my french language skills!
Internet is not available yet, but as soon as my stories appear again, that means it's fixed! Yalla...on blogge!
